Looking to go away for a while?

Our Empty Nest program offers peace of mind when you are away. Whether you live here seasonally or simply going on vacation, we will care for your home while you are away.

Our Empty Nest Team specializes in accommodating your needs as an absentee owner in The Villages community. Our Caretakers will visit your home on a regular basis to make certain your home is in tip top shape for all your visits to your home. We recognize your interest in achieving a smooth closing as well as having peace of mind while you are away.

The services listed below will help you discover the valuable benefits of our Empty Nest Home Watch Program*:

  • Perform random monthly inspections, both inside and out
  • Accept deliveries from vendors
  • Meet moving companies
  • Charge golf carts
  • Open the home to vendors providing services
  • Assist in the arrangement of cleaning services
  • Prep home for owner/guest arrivals
  • Shut down home when an owner/guest departs
  • Monitor and adjust thermostat and appliances to minimize utility usage
  • Communicate with the homeowner on an regular basis
  • Provide monthly detailed description of services/inspections performed
*There are no additional fees for any of these services.

We will be there for you

A critical part of the program is our multiple monthly inspections of the interior and exterior of your home. On the outside, our Caretakers will walk the perimeter of your home inspecting the lawn and shrubs for proper irrigation, and will verify that lawn and pest services are being performed according to your contract. Windows, doors, etc. will be checked to ensure that your house is secure. The inside of your home will be inspected and your heating and cooling system will be tested and adjusted to minimize utility usage, depending on the season. We will run your water and operate the dishwasher, flush toilets, change filters and batteries when necessary, and generally see that your house is kept in perfect condition for when you arrive.

We will accept and deliver your packages to your home. Having furniture or other items delivered to your home? Just let us know when and we will have a caretaker coordinate the delivery. There are no extra fees for this service.

The cost is worth the peace-of-mind

Our fee for this service is only $3.50 per day while we watch and care for your home. A one time processing fee of $75 is charged at initial enrollment. Once enrolled you may use the services at any time; whether for a short vacation or an unexpected long term trip, you may rest assured that while you are away your home is being well cared for.

Communications is our priority

Communication is the key to the success of this program. We will contact you a minimum of once a month by telephone or email (depending on your preference) to provide you updates on your home. You will also receive a monthly inspection report by email or US Mail.
